Despite being wary of her caretakers at first, she has now adapted to the sanctuary’s routine. However, it was recently discovered that Mae Yui, another elephant still being used in the tourism industry, is located close by.
The reserve staff quickly reached out to the owners of Mae Yui and were relieved to find them willing to allow her and her young to retire in the reserve.
