In 2022, a cute and playful pup named Major who was just over two years old found his home at the Naperville Area Humane Society. Although his caretakers had high hopes of him being adopted quickly, Major was often overlooked by visitors, which left his caretakers perplexed. Despite his charming personality and affectionate nature, people left without showing any interest in him.
As time passed, the staff at the foster home grew increasingly concerned about the lovable but accident-prone little guy. The more days that were added to his record, the more skeptical people became about his ability to bring happiness and delight. Some suspected there was more to him than met the eye.
No matter what the future may hold, Major was an adorable puppy who loved to play outside with the staff and his furry friends at the shelter. This inspired Kristen Funk, the executive director of the Naperville Area Humane Society, to search for a loving and permanent home where Major could feel happy, secure, and loved.
Sometimes fate just has a way of working out. Major was in luck when Jose, a semi-truck driver, found himself looking for a new furry companion after the loss of his long-time pet. It was then that Major came into the picture and the two hit it off right from the start.
As Major was being sent away, the caregivers bid him farewell with joyous applause and affectionate kisses. Some couldn’t hold back their tears, while others wished nothing but the best for Major and his new owner. After receiving some treats, Major hopped into Jose’s truck, ready to embark on their journey together.
