Introducing Blue and Ozzy: The Adorable Rescued Seal Point Siamese Duo

Around the globe, gorgeous felines are brought to shelters despite their wishes. Cats aren’t to blame when they are given up for adoption, and unfortunately, not every cat is fortunate enough to find a forever home. Two stunning Seal Point Siamese cats from Sea Point, Western Cape, South Africa prove that it’s possible to discover a purebred cat at a shelter. Therefore, if you’re set on adopting a specific breed while also wanting to give back, consider reaching out to your regional shelter or breed-specific rescue; you could possibly be in luck!

Can you tell me the story of how Blue and Ozzy became a part of your life?

Well, it all started back in February 2019 when I decided to rescue a cat from the Cape of Good Hope SPCA. That’s when I met Blue, who had been surrendered at just 5 months old due to having snuffles. Despite his recent isolation, I immediately fell in love with him because of his stunning eye color, which is how he got his name. As for Ozzy, he came into my life a bit later, but I’m happy to share that story too if you’re interested!

Around 9 months later, I felt that he seemed a bit down and isolated. So, I decided to search for another rescue siamese, which was quite challenging to find in my area. Luckily, Capetonians Against Animal Abuse provided exceptional support for cats and kittens, and they shared some photos of Ozzy with me. In December 2019, I brought little Ozzy home, who we named after his energetic and adventurous personality. Despite being incredibly cross-eyed, he manages to see just fine!

What is the dynamic between the two cats like?
Their relationship is amicable, but not quite what I had hoped for. They engage in playful bullying of each other and display occasional jealousy, but they don’t fight often.
Can you describe their personalities?
Blue has the classic feline personality – regal and aloof. While he loves most people, he is not very fond of me. He enjoys being the center of attention and holds himself with poise and dignity.
On the other hand, Ozzy is a lovable furball who is all about food, cuddles, and playtime. He is not particularly intelligent but makes up for it with his energetic and carefree demeanor.
