If we believe in the saying “the eyes are the windows to the soul”, then we can say that Xafi and Auri possess two of the most stunning souls one could ever come across. Allow me to introduce you to them!
The stunning appearance of the charming “American Blue” Russian Blue cats has created a sensation on various social media platforms, leading to an impressive fanbase of more than 112k followers on Instagram.
Xafi and Auri might look like twins, but there’s actually a one-year age difference between them. Even though their followers may get mixed up, their British parents Annaken and Tim have figured out how to distinguish between the two.
Auri possesses a visage that is more circular in shape, and her ears are wider and her coat is slightly darker. On the other hand, Xafi sports an angular facial structure with ears that are a bit taller in comparison.
Their meowing sound is unique and their mannerisms are different from one another.
Despite weighing the same at 3.5kg, Auri appears to have developed a more defined and robust physique.
While their appearance might fool you, Xafi and Auri are two completely different cats. According to Anneken, Xafi is more people-oriented while Auri prefers to be independent. Additionally, Auri has a more athletic build compared to Xafi’s clumsiness. When it comes to cuddles, Xafi is very vocal about her desires while Auri gently and quietly asks for attention. Despite their differences, both felines are incredibly affectionate and lovable in their own unique ways.
It wasn’t a breeze for me to master the art of taking pictures of cats. It’s especially difficult when you’re trying to capture two cats in one shot. Our trick is to lure them with treats and toys so they’ll cooperate and face the camera.
Anneken stated to Bored Panda that she now prefers taking pictures of cats in their natural habitat, engaging in typical feline activities, and has moved away from posed photos.
Soon after, a new member joined the household. Errol, a Somali feline, is known for being a constant purring and meowing companion, always hungry and full of liveliness and drool. He has even earned his own Instagram page and is quickly gaining popularity on various social media platforms.
In my opinion, Xafi and Auri have the ability to capture the affections of anyone who lays eyes on them – including myself!
